This summer my mum sadly passed away from Motor Neurone that so many of you did the ice bucket challenge for this summer. It is an horrendous disease that robs of you of everything including your ability to walk, talk and breath. I miss my mum so much and the children miss their 'mama' and I just wish they'd had longer with her. The MDNA not only provides care and support but also funds and promotes research that will hopefully lead to new understanding and treatments and brings us closer to a cure for MND.

Judging by my current state I will be coughing my way round but I will get to that finishing line! The event comes through Church Fenton using the school as one of it's rest stops.
